The rooms at Acra-Retreat Mountain View Lodge are like a dream come true for nature lovers like me. The private entrance to the decks with mountain views is simply breathtaking. It feels like a little piece of heaven on earth.
That the other room in the lodge only had limited local channels. But I understand that not everyone is as obsessed with TV as I am.

the view!!!!!
Did ask vir drinks in room(coke) on arrival and choclates on bed, drinks only delivered to room after arrival and no sign of choclates! Did phone in advance to ask for kit kat in room, the excuse was that Waterval Boven is a very small town and they would have to go all the way to Nelspruit to get hold of a kit kat, but on our arrival we went for a drive through Waterval Boven and funny enough the first little shop in Waterval Boven sold Kit Kats. Maybe try harder to please guests if the requests is not all that difficult!!!!!

between Johannesburg and Kruger, so convenient. Has a pool and kids' barbecue facilities - perfect for an evening of charred hot dogs. They even have spa services for those who want to pamper themselves like royalty.
Oh wait, did I forget to mention, there's no lunch option and the grocery store is pathetic. So if you like starving or eating cardboard, this is the place for you.

I had an amazing stay in Waterval Boven! The location was perfect, close to hiking trails and the town. The staff at the lodge were warm and friendly, providing great service throughout my stay. The room I stayed in was beautiful, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The view from the veranda was breathtaking, and the pool was a great place to relax. The breakfast on the patio was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. it was a wonderful experience!
The shared bathroom was a bit inconvenient, as I would have preferred an ensuite.

My partner and I recently stayed at this charming lodge for a weekend getaway. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, and we especially enjoyed spending our evenings on the deck, sipping drinks while taking in the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and gave us great recommendations for activities. We were blown away by the nearby waterfall and had a fantastic dinner experience in the town of Kaapsche Hoop. it was a wonderful weekend escape.
I do recommend this hotel.

The rooms at this lodge were even better than I expected, with spacious and luxurious accommodations. The views from the deck were absolutely breathtaking, offering a stunning backdrop of the surrounding mountains. the bar was fantastic, providing a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy the scenery.
There were a few downsides to my experience. when we arrived hungry and late due to car trouble, the owner was not able to accommodate us with dinner and suggested we go elsewhere, which was quite inconvenient.
